**Instructor, Early Childhood Education (Term Full-Time)**
Early Childhood Education

**POSITION TYPE**: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated September 30, 2024 up to March 31, 2025) With possibility of extension.

**SALARY**: $33.62 - $51.43 hourly

**POSITION LOCATION**: Various campuses



**DUTIES**

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Early Childhood Educator III Classification, or a Bachelors Degree in Family Social Sciences,
- Developmental Studies, Child Studies. A combination of education and experience may be considered
- Several years’ experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in Canada
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Ability to create a positive classroom environment for diverse learners with a commitment to student success
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

**ASSET QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
- Experience instructing, training and/or mentoring in ECE

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
