Distribution and Payments Analytics Manager

Reporting to the Manager Distribution and Payment Forecast, the Distribution and Payments Analytics Manager will play a key role in shaping the future landscape that 'supports global distribution and payments initiatives with the goal of meeting and/or exceeding Air Canada corporate objectives.

Role & responsibilities include development and implementation of robust business intelligence/analytics capabilities, measurement, audit, and tracking of KPIs, that will enable improved control over distribution and payment network positioning Air Canada for long term sustainability.

The Distribution and Payments Analytics Manager will proactively evaluate and optimize distribution and payment business analytics processes to ensure constant end-to-end evolution, quality, and efficiency on an ongoing basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand ongoing business needs and objectives
- Develop & implement processes that transform raw data into actionable business insights
- Provide on-time, accurate, in-depth analytical support, and data intelligence/analytics for senior management within the assigned portfolio initiatives including, but not limited to GDS, GDS negotiations, Metasearch/OTA, Payments, CRS Audit, and the development of direct channels such as Digital, API/Direct Connect and web
- Develop and maintain post-audit processes to assess accuracy and effectiveness of program returns for all programs within the assigned portfolio
- Proactively review analytics processes, from a continuous improvement perspective, to ensure that process enhancements/updates are applied accordingly
- Develop and conduct data quality and process audits, program evaluations and reviews, working with internal stakeholders where needed, to meet/exceed Air Canada corporate standards, achieving the required results and efficiencies
- Monitor and analyze reports to improve usability and performance and ensure reports and dashboards are accurate and available on time
- Perform quantitative, qualitative, and strategic analysis in support of the development of key Distribution and Payment initiatives and develop materials that illustrate key findings
- Facilitate the timely delivery of Distribution and Payments analytics projects by developing project execution plan, mitigating potential risks, and ensuring the project is delivered within budget and on time
- Provide support with the development of business cases for project funding as required
- Analyze AC's competitive position and identify potential to improve revenue/cost; assess impact and develop business case/implementation plan
- Support the CRS Audit program by establishing robust analytics to maximize cost recovery opportunity and increase efficiencies
- Manage overall integrity of Distribution and Payments audit processes in order to meet/exceed targets
- Produce performance analysis and formulate recommendations on analytics and reporting process improvements and optimization
- Maintain current documentation of key analytics processes
- Keep abreast of Distribution & Payment Trends and evolution

**Qualifications**
- University degree in a related discipline
- 3+ years of experience. Previous experience in airline distribution/payments field an asset
Strong planning and organizational skills
- Solid analytical skills when dealing with complex data, analytics and airline industry information
- Ability to cope/prioritize with irregular or multiple work projects/timelines under mínimal supervision/guidance
- Good negotiation, interpersonal, communication, presentation, leadership and decision-making skills
- Team player, willing and able to provide analytical support and assistance to team members
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Results oriented and proven ability for attention to detail and able to consistently meet deadlines
- Motivated self starter who can work with mínimal direction and supervision
- Knowledge of airline distribution and payments business, an asset
