Working within the procurement team, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be the global process owner evaluating the “best in class” processes in the area of procurement and implement related improvements to increase the efficiency of the overall procurement process. The SME will be efficient in LN (ERP System) and lead all new integrations, improvements and training in this respect. This position will also provide ongoing procurement specific project support to the team as needed.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**

Global process owner responsibilities:

- Ensues process is documented, validated, and sustained
- Negotiates other process conflicts with respective process owners

Global Process Resource responsibilities (SME):

- Documents the process
- Understands the impacts, considerations and relationships between processes
- Works with the project team to implement the process in the LN system
- Performs testing, gap analysis, simulations and validation of the process in the LN system
- Ensures work instructions are complete where applicable
- Communicates with process stakeholders for validation, approvals and change management

Project Responsibilities (Direct Material):

- Supports cross functional sourcing projects
- Ensures alignment of corporate policies and objectives with Purchasing Team
- Analyzes requisition requirements, evaluates bids, and awards contracts to the best qualified suppliers
- Handles and enforces conformance to contract terms
- Participates in and support negotiation of purchases and supplier agreements
- Identifies and implements cost savings and process improvement opportunities through ongoing review of spend categories
- Develops new ways to optimize improve and solve problems in the supply chain as they arise

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3 - 5 years experience in Procurement and with formal ERP systems (SAP, LN, BaaN, MIS)
- Post-secondary education in related field preferred
- Knowledge of Lean tools related to Procurement
- Experience working with product lifecycle management, document control, and enterprise quality management systems

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
