As part of Schulich’s Research Department, the Clinical Research portfolio is comprised of different services, programs, and partnerships. Clinical trials, training programs, quality improvement, biotechnology and medical technology innovations, and digital health are key areas of clinical research, and part of an expanding mandate at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

**Responsibilities**:
**Qualifications**:

- Education:
- Undergraduate Degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, Information & Media Studies, English, Journalism or other related program
- Certificate in digital communication, graphic design and/or web design preferred

**Experience**:
- 3 years of experience in a communications, marketing, public relations, reputational management, and/or social media management role
- Experience specific to projects in print, media, web, advertising, and social media preferred
- Experience in an academic or research-related environment an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability to advise on the appropriate development and use of social media platforms relevant to researcher, academic, and general populations
- Compelling and persuasive communication skills to engage individuals and teams inside and outside the University
- Ability to analyze metrics and consider past communications to craft engaging written communications using social media or other appropriate channels
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proofreading abilities
- Ability to organize, plan and manage events of various sizes; familiarity with the logistics required for large scale and virtual events
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and problem-solve while balancing a variety of ongoing projects
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Adobe suites, and social media and content management platforms, and the proven ability to learn new programs quickly
- Ability to ensure confidentiality and privacy is maintained through the appropriate retention and destruction of information
- Ability and willingness to employ a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and making decisions
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with various stakeholders and colleagues, including senior management
- Ability to evaluate issues, recognize potential problems and take action to proactively resolve issues
