**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and implement investigator initiated, low to moderate risk clinical, research protocols.
- Provide support to clinical research nurse coordinator in the implementation of multi centre or larger complex clinical research projects.
- Monitors the ongoing clinical status of patients, assessing for adverse events while they are receiving study interventions which may involve investigational therapies.
- Prepare and maintain patient research files, complete case report forms, data entry, schedule appointments.
- Performs accurate data collection with extraction from health records.
- Prepares and submits regulatory reporting, as applicable. May involve supervision of clinical research staff.
- Assist with various aspects of clinical research projects as required by Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a minimum 2-3 years of relevant and related cardiology work experience in clinical research project coordination.
- BSc or MSc in health related field, or professional designation.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Excellent computer skills; demonstrated ability to modify/edit documents using track changes. Required computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- High personal motivation, self-management, and detail-orientation; ability to take responsibility in meeting deadlines and making progress without direct supervision.
- Strong spoken and written communications skills.
- Capacity and willing to learn new software, research methods, and work routines quickly, flexibility in responding to new research opportunities as they arise.
