**Job Purpose**:
While reporting to the Project Manager and VP, Construction, Superintendents are ultimately responsible for managing all on-site construction activities daily on their sites and supervising personnel as required to successfully complete projects efficiently, on schedule and within budget. They will ensure that high quality performance and compliance to project standards is maintained while following strict safety protocols and reporting standards.

**Position Description**:

- Full responsibility for site safety of all Keller team members and Keller subtrades
- Coordinate and supervise all on-site daily construction activities
- Lead safety meetings and present required information to large groups
- Responsible for all required site documentation and timely reporting as required by the Director of Safety and the client
- Accountable for all safety coaching, and orientations onsite as required
- Ensure that all Keller employees and sub-trades receive necessary safety training prior to work commencement, including POST
- Responsible for the Quality on projects, establishing Pre-Construction Quality Reviews with trades and onsite Quality Control during construction.
- Maintain a visible and engaged presence on the site and act as a leader
- Work responsibly and professionally and maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders and employees on site
- Prepare and maintain construction schedules, order materials, and schedule inspections as required
- Delegate and direct all field personnel and subtrades to achieve completion of the project within schedule, budget, and ensuring quality workmanship
- Work with office staff to ensure that field staff scheduling needs are communicated effectively in advance
- Perform reviews for staff on site as directed
- Interpret and manage contractual obligations and responsibilities
- Work closely with your Project Manager on a regular basis to ensure your site operates smoothly
- Attend Pre-Construction meetings with your Project Manager prior to work starting, where schedules, scope of work, working hours and manpower requirements are discussed and decided on
- Attend Kick-Off meetings, where all safety issues as well as project certification are discussed with owners and subcontractors
- Perform carpentry and general labour as needed

**Desired Background**
- **_Minimum of 3-5 years’ Superintendent level work experience in Retail Petroleum (Gas Station) construction with projects in the $1 Million to $5 Million range is require_**:

- **_CPCA Certification (PM 2 and 3) would be a definite asset_**:

- Effective typing, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements
- Solid computer skills and knowledge of relevant software.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping.
- Post-Secondary education in a relevant discipline
- Retail Petroleum construction experience and knowledge of POST is required
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ demonstrable work experience in commercial construction carpentry
- Completion of, or enrollment in, the carpentry Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience in the trade

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
