**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certification in Health Information Management
- Minimum of five to seven years coding experience in an acute care hospital environment
- Must be a current member in good standing with the Canadian Health Information Management Association
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CA/CCI, MOH coding standards, directives and funding methodologies
Exceptional organizational, analytical and computer skills including working knowledge of Crystal report writing
- Displays superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with many diverse groups including Decision Support, Clinicians, Information Systems and HIM coding staff.
- Demonstrates effective customer service, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision making skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Meditech, and internet navigation.
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Consistent and regular attendance.
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
