Duties
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school, ensuring alignment with educational goals and standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional practices that promote student learning, including assessment practices and extracurricular programs, to ensure a well-rounded education.
- Manage the school’s budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support educational initiatives.
- Foster a positive school climate that encourages collaboration among staff, students, and parents.
- Help in Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting a team of talented educators while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Evaluate staff performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for professional development.
- Engage with the community to build partnerships that enhance educational opportunities for students.
- Ensure the school meets and exceeds all BC Ministry of Education requirements, including successfully preparing for and conducting ministry inspections
- Ensure the school meets all compliance with all local, province, and federal regulations related to education.
- Lead efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school environment.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by the school board for the role.

**Qualifications**:

- A degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- A valid **BC teaching certificate** and leadership experience in a high school setting.
- Proven expertise in curriculum development, staff management, and student-focused leadership.
- Deep understanding of BC Ministry of Education policies, Independent School Act regulations, and inspection requirements.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- A commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
