Summer Student

**Location**: Multimatic Anton Manufacturing, Concord, Ontario, Canada

**Position Overview**:
Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems.

We are currently seeking a Summer Student IT for our Anton Office in Concord, ON. This position will support our IT department providing customer service and answering requests for current employees.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Advise and educate users and provide appropriate solutions
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Create, update and maintain hardware/software inventory and documentation.
- Work with additional network support personnel and client server specialists when implementing new corporate rollouts of Hardware/Software.
- Move, Add, or changes for Desktops and Laptops.
- Organize and dispose of old computer equipment.
- Providing users access to printers
- Understanding of Wi-Fi systems and configuration
- Additional IT related tasks requested by Management.

**Education and Experience**:

- Working towards a Computer Science, IT administration or other relevant technical degree from accredited university or college.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus
- Experience in the Automotive Industry and related Help Desk is also a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 4 Kg.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced and time sensitive environment
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting
- Strong technical and customer support experience
- Must be familiar with or have exposure to the following; HP PC/Laptop Hardware, VMware environment, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013, Office 365.
