**Opportunity**:
MacEwan University is seeking two Specialist, Admission Evaluation positions for full-time continuing opportunities with the Office of the University Registrar.

Key responsibilities include:

- Evaluate, analyze and interpret academic credentials (secondary and post-secondary) to determine admissibility using approved admission requirements;
- Authenticate and verify non-standard academic transcripts, credentials, and other admission documents (e.g., English language proficiency test results and course outlines/syllabi);
- Research out-of-province/country course equivalences and credentials using established criteria, resources and collaboration with colleagues;
- Calculate credit values, admission averages, scores and admission grade point averages (AGPA) for admission and entrance scholarship consideration;
- Closely monitor admissions targets and quotas for various programs;
- Assessment of education completed at post-secondary institutions for potential transfer credit, including evaluation of credits and grading systems;
- Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of admission and transfer requirements, policies and procedures;
- Participate in variety of student/applicant events such as Open House, Info Session Week and Convocation; and
- Provide guidance and support to applicants/students, future students, recruiters, academic advisors, and other university stakeholders regarding admission and transfer credit statuses, policies, processes, and requirements.

- The aptitude to understand and interpret diverse Canadian and International educational systems in relation to established admission and transfer credit criteria;

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative environment in program evaluation.
- Experience with evaluating Canadian or international education to determine admission eligibility and transfer credit would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in a second language would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft - Campus Solutions would be considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
