NAIT is seeking a new Manager, Admissions. Reporting to the Director of Enrolment Management within the Student Progression department, the Manager provides operational oversight for the Admissions team, ensuring that the work of the team aligns with our strategic direction in the NAIT Effect, our Academic Plan, and the Student Progression department's goals. The Manager will help lead the team to thrive during process and technological changes in the years ahead, as we continually strive to better meet changing student and institutional needs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Provides direction and leadership on operational activities, translating strategic goals into operational priorities for the team.
Regularly evaluates the team's performance, priorities, and business processes to meet service expectations and enrolment targets, as well as to ensure compliance with established policy and procedures.
Handles escalated admissions inquiries.
Oversees the team budget.
Is accountable for hiring, staff development, coaching and performance enhancement work within Admissions.
The Manager actively identifies improvement opportunities that will assist Admissions in optimizing enrolment outcomes and in providing consistent, high-quality services to stakeholders. As part of the role, the Manager of Admissions will work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to solve challenges and drive positive change.
The Manager contributes to strategic planning activities with the Student Progression leadership team and oversees the operationalization of the department plan in Admissions. As a member of the SPR management team, the Manager represents Student Progression and leads work/project teams, committees, and planning groups both internal to NAIT and externally.
**Skills & Abilities**:
Excellence in leadership, communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and change management.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and functional units and to foster positive productive working relationships.
Demonstrated commitment to quality and excellence in student service.
Strong understanding of domestic and international post-secondary admissions and strategic enrolment management practices.
Strong computer skills and an ability to analyze data to take an informed approach to business decisions.
Organization, planning, budget management, and project coordination.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum three years progressively responsible experience in post-secondary Admissions, or a related area.
Bachelor's degree or graduate degree.
A combination of other education (e.g. diploma) and additional directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a post-secondary setting.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
**Remuneration**: $99,247.46 - $131,487.46 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
