**Who we are looking for**:
We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our team The Technical Manager is a paint and equipment expert who oversees a team of Technical Representatives managing workflow, productivity and performance. With a depth of industry experience, they guide the team and provide recommendations to management of ways to improve technical service. They also ensure that customer accounts are maintained with the highest level of customer satisfaction.

**What you will be doing**:
Managerial Responsibilities
- Manage the performance and workflow of the technical team making process and strategic changes as necessary to improve results
- Manage team workload ensuring consistent work among all Technical Representatives
- Be a hands on leader taking on technical responsibilities along side the Technical Representatives
- Keep a pulse of customer needs and industry best practices to make recommendations to the management team of ways to improve technical services
- Analyze customer feedback and company data to determine new and creative ways to continually improve the services that are offered to Brown’s Automotive Services customers
- Establish team goals and track progression of metrics towards the achievement of the defined metrics
- Coach and mentor employees providing consistent feedback and communication to improve their technical knowledge and alignment with company expectations
- Provide support to Technical Representatives when a customer issue needs to be escalated
- Establish sales targets for the team and track progression towards goals

Technical Responsibilities (Customer-Centric):

- Actively listen to customers to understand their issues or concerns
- Interview clients to gather information useful in providing recommendations and solutions to technical problems
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot coatings systems, and computer software issues
- Provide daily and on demand technical support services for established customers
- Receive customer calls to provide step-by-step guidelines for the resolution of a technical issues related to paint and equipment use
- Document, track, and follow up customer issues using a ticketing system to ensure quick resolution and create a database to help prevent issues at other customers.
- Explain highly technical details to customers using simple understandable terms
- Participate in development of educational information and training designed specifically for collision centres
- Ensure compliance with procedural standards set by coatings suppliers
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company products and services
- Stay abreast with technological developments and trends and supply equipment recommendations to customer base.
- Educate customers on the features of Brown’s Auto Supply products/services to minimize technical challenges.
- Follow-up on customers to ensure their issues are completely resolved.
- Produce reports of technical support operations to company management.
- Complete reports that show technical findings to Brown’s Auto Supply Management Team as well as customers’ Management team.
- Source potential new clients and conduct sales calls.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the company.

- Strong people management skills with an approachable leadership style.
- Ability to analyze information and make recommendations.
- Ability to think outside of the box and come up with new technical service ideas.
- Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple team members.
- Expert technical knowledge of paint and coating systems.
- Ability to distill technical knowledge into easy to understand concepts for customers.
- Ability to listen to a customer’s situation, identify root problems and implement solutions.
- Competent to use MS Office suite of programs.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain good working relationships.
- Self-starter with the confidence to take initiative.
