Position Summary

Reporting to the VP Commercial Operations, and as a key member of the project team, the Estimator is responsible for researching and preparing estimates for overhead door projects, and performs other related duties.

Education and Experience

Post-secondary education in building construction is an asset. Relevant trade experience with preference given to those with Red Seal certification is an asset. Preference will be given to those with estimating and/or project management courses and/or certifications, with an understanding of bidding processes. Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.

Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of territorial and municipal building codes, contractual terms, and conditions
- Good understanding of the trade processes and materials used and needed
- Knowledge and ability to understand the bidding process
- Knowledge of doors, frames and hardware
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel); the ability to work with ERP software is desirable.
- Ability to read drawings and understand specifications
- Ability to handle challenges and work well under tight deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
- Ability to work independently as well as a team

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
