Site Safety Advisor

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across all operations, particularly within construction settings. Your expertise will help us build a culture of safety that prioritizes the well-being of all employees and compliance with industry regulations.
We are looking for people to fills role in upcoming projects in the Fraser Valley.
**Responsibilities**
- Promote and uphold the site's health and safety program and culture
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide resources to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Act as the Primary or secondary First Aid Attendant for the project
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management software for effective monitoring.
- Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in occupational health and safety.
**Experience / Certifications**
- Must have current Advanced First Aid Certification
- Must have CSO certificate
- Additional tickets like equipment operator and traffic control are definitely an asset
- Proven experience as a Construction Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry is an asset.
- Familiarity with construction management software is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of WorksafeBC regulations and safety standards relevant to construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing effective solutions.
- Compensation is based upon experience and compatibility with company standards and values.
**Physical Requirements**
- Must be physically capable of carrying a 30lbs bag up 6 Flights of stairs in 90 Seconds
- Must be physically capable of performing effective CPR for 5 minutes

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
