Here's how a Quality Supervisor for our BC Region office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Reviews prime contract and subcontract details for specifications and requirements, identifies quality requirements and ensures that quality activities align with project scope as per the terms and conditions.
- Performs visual examination, witnesses, monitors, and documents results as per project specifications and Inspection testing plans (ITPs).
- Collects and compiles quality turnover documentation.
- Act as a liaison with craft/staff personnel and quality manager to provide technical assistance and guidance as needed.
- Identifies and discerns root causes associated with nonconformances reports (NCRs) and present to the quality and project team.
- Develops and implements the project quality plan, (ITPs) in alignment with project specifications.
- Actively plans, coordinates, and participates in Quality Assurance/Quality Coordinator (QA/QC) task planning activities with construction activities.
- Leads meetings with the quality team as required.
- Liaises with clients’ field QA/QC representatives, third-party testing agencies, and trade contractor quality personnel.
- Ensures supplier and vendors adhere to project specifications, including verification of delivered materials.

**Qualifications**:

- Craftsperson certificate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 7 years proven experience in quality control and/or the construction industry, including supervisory and leadership experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of construction industry; understands specifications, drawings methods, and procedures.
- Excellent construction inspection skills on a broad range of scopes of work.
- Knowledge of various engineering systems, principles, and practices.
- Good understanding of and ability to interpret construction industry codes.
- Familiar with planning and sequencing concepts.
- Ability to identify quality risks associated with the project.
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications, visualizing two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
- Experience with internal project-quality assessments.
- Demonstrate planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work, and delegate.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Conflict resolution and difficult conversation skills, with the ability to lead and effectively resolve disputes with trade contractors/supervisors.
- Strong ability to coach and mentor.
- Strong capability for adopting new technology.
- Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) level II or III certification.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- API (American Petroleum Institute) 510/570/653 inspector preferred.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

PCL combines numerous pay and benefit strategies to provide a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package. Any salary range displayed by a job board is an estimate. The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $95,000. Your salary, which considers your unique qualifications and experience, is just one component of the robust total rewards you'll enjoy at PCL.
