**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Machining of metal components from technical drawings using manual lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, drill presses and band saws
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, lay out workpieces, and verify accuracy using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
- Planning and setup of machining jobs based on an existing customer sample part or drawing
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers
- Follow all safety regulations
- Clean and maintain work area
- Maintain quality standards
- Work overtime as required to support company objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- 5+years of experience with manual machining on both milling machines and lathes
- Red Seal machinist designation is preferred
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Prior experience with CNC machines and Mastercam is an asset
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, Monday through Friday.
- Must be able to use power hand tools and power saws
- Able to pass pre-employment background check as required by law
- Able to pass pre-employment drug test as required by law
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

**Job Type**: Full time

**Salary**: between $30 to $42/hour (based on skills and experience)

**SCHEDULE**:

- 8-hour shift, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime as required
- Weekends as needed

Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour
