**Responsibilities**

Some responsibilities and duties you will be required to do as a security guard at K9ine Security are listed below but are not limited to...
- Monitoring and reporting on client sites, inspecting buildings, areas, or persons for potential problems.
- Respond to security issues and enforce rules.
- Perform foot patrols of various locations in Northumberland County. Our clients have very specific requirements for their sites and the utmost professionalism and detailed reports are required
- Answering phones and taking detailed information regarding calls for service
- Utilizing a radio system to communicate with mobile units
- Responding to alarm calls from our dispatch team
- Responsible for writing detailed reports about incidents that occur during your shift

Some responsibilities and duties you will be required to do as a 1:1 resident watch guard at our contracted site at a long-term care home located in Cobourg, ON are listed below but are not limited to...
- Interacting with the resident that you are assigned to for the day shift
- Walking with your resident to do activities with them or down to the dining hall for their meals
- Observe and report anything during your shift and be a safety net for the resident you are assigned
- Reporting to your team lead about any issues regarding staff or residents
- Responsible for writing detailed reports about incidents that occur during your shift

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Applicants must be at least 18-yers-old
- Hold a current and valid Security License as well as a First Air/ CPR certificate
- Hold a class G driver's license with a clean driving record is required, Drivers abstract may be required
- Use of force certified preferred
- Able to commute as well as have reliable transportation to and from sites
- Relevant experience is an asset (at least 1 year)
- Another relevant post-secondary education is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with de-escalation techniques are considered assets
- Able to Multi-task, prioritization, and time management skills
- Accountability, team player, and dependability are considered an asset
- Able to problem-solving, creative, and critical thinking skills while working in a fast past environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
