EveryMind Mental Health Services (formerly Peel Children’s Centre/Nexus Youth Services) has an exciting opportunity for a skilled, experienced and innovative IT professional to work with our IT department in ensuring secure operations of the organization’s computer systems, servers, and overall network connections. The IT Security Administrator’s duties include administering, maintaining and monitoring the IT Security environment for the organization.

**Salary - 5 step range - $72,878 to $85,257 over 5 years**
Please note that hiring salaries are commensurate with experience and generally start at the beginning of the range.

**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Director, Technology & Digital Innovation, the incumbent ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems. Responsibilities covers Cloud Computing assets, on-premise servers, local network (LAN) equipment, multiple external locations (WAN) connectivity, security appliances and general security monitoring for Enterprise Applications.
**Specific Tasks**
- Monitor computer systems within the Centre, including networks, hardware and software.
- Assess and monitor security state of networks and data in response to known threats, malware and users’ behaviour. Promote security awareness to users and upper management.
- Provide security expertise and support throughout the Incident Response Management stages
- Detect and respond to Security incidents, ensuring industry standards are met and are in accordance to IT Security practices and frameworks.
- Proactively identify and assist in the remediation of controls and security gaps
- Monitor LAN/WAN/WLAN devices and links (routers, switches, wireless access points, VPN tunnels, etc.).
- Monitor virtualization network platforms, cloud computing platforms and on-premise servers
- Monitor anti-malware security hardware, software (firewalls, intrusion detection and antivirus software)
- Advise on vulnerability remediation, log management, configuration management and security hardening techniques/methodologies to improve overall IT Security Posture
- Perform analysis, reporting and data mining from various sources to produce security metrics that fulfill organizational reports for senior management
- Participate in the development and on-going maintenance of the IT/Cyber Security Management Program
- Develop and Conduct Cybersecurity Awareness procedures and training for end-users
- Assist in maintaining and updating IT plans, policies, upgrades and budget, as requested.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team and organization, keeping in mind the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Provide 24/7 On-Call IT coverage in conjunction with the organization’s Cybersecurity service provider
