**What you'll do**:
The Banquet Porter’s mission - should she/he choose to accept it - is to prepare and maintain any of our meeting rooms according to the client’s every want and need. Responsible for physical set-up, cleanliness and maintenance of all Banquet equipment and function rooms, as well as their related areas, the Banquet Porter is not afraid of heavy lifting and a fast-paced environment. While hosting both large and small events in the hotel, our Banquet Porters always ensure that the Marriott Standards of Hosting are upheld by providing the best guest experience. **The responsibilities of this position include**:

- To serve all guests and respond to any inquiries according to Marriott Banquet standards.
- To handle guest concerns, compliments and suggestions in a professional informed manner, using the LEARN process.
- To set up, maintain and tear down all meeting rooms according to Marriott standards.
- To maintain and keep all Banquet equipment in good working condition and report any deficiencies.
- To conduct monthly inventory of all Banquet equipment.
- To communicate all additional convener requests to the Banquet Manager and/or Food and Beverage managers.
- To perform Banquet duties conforming to local liquor and health and safety laws.
- To keep all work areas and Banquet storage rooms in a neat and orderly fashion.
- To participate in the daily pre-shift meeting.
- To complete other duties as assigned by management.

**What you'll offer us**:

- Six months related work experience.
- Previous hotel experience as a Banquet houseperson and/or porter preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts/days, as required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.31-$24.13 per hour
