Class 1 - Line Haul Truck Driver

**Starting Terminal: Moncton, NB**

**Dedicated Route: Linehaul from Moncton to Halifax.**Plus dropping off trailers during the morning in Moncton.

**Working days: Sunday to Thursday**

**Working times: 9:00PM to 8:00AM**

**What you will do**:

- Drive Class 1 Tractor Trailer (Refrigerated) from Moncton to Halifax _**(dedicated run) with occasional drops in Moncton as per business needs**_
- Pick up and Deliver products in good condition and within scheduled time
- Back up Tractor Trailer to the dock doors successfully
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

**What we require of you**:

- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License is a must
- Must be able to drive an Automatic Transmission
- _**Able to drive a 10 Manual Transmission speed at minimum**_
- Possess a Clean Commercial Driver's Abstract
- Previous Line Haul or Trailer Switch Driver experience is an asset
- Minimum 2 year Commercial Tractor Trailer driving experience or 3 years highway Tractor Trailer driving experience
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service
- Adaptable to change
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work on a team and being a team player
- Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices
