Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator completes administrative duties for the HR department at Bradford Greenhouses Ltd. (BGHL), supporting both the Retail and Wholesale operations. Assisting with the recruitment process to help grow our company’s talent pipeline and improve our sourcing tactics, maintaining employee records, providing administrative support to employees. The HR Coordinator will assist the HR team with performance management procedures, HR events, coordinating training sessions and seminars, and performing new employee orientation, and updating employee records. They will assist with projects, reporting, and will stay current with the latest human resources trends and best practices.

Job Duties
- Create basic spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and other Word documents as directed.
- Oversee the onboarding process by collecting new-hire paperwork for personnel files and updating it in our HRIS.
- Assist the HR manager with new employee onboarding and general employee communications.
- Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, marketing, store leadership).
- Assist with new and updated benefits enrollment as requested by employees.
- Respond to requests for information and assist all employees with a customer service concept to reach objectives of the department.
- Maintain department organization by maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, and providing general support where required.
- Support team members, aid and assist with all phases of human resources activity at all business locations (Barrie and Bradford).
- Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation and to obtain valuable input from separating personnel.
- Help guide managers in writing and delivering coaching forms, PIPs, and separations in a timely manner.
- Coordinate workers compensation claims to ensure reporting and documentation is timely and accurate.
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data and run reports by monthly deadline.
- Maintain, track and log information for both internal and legal compliance.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars, both online and in-person
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback, and customer service survey feedback.
- Support other functions as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
- Knowledge of human resources processes, best practices, and current employment legislations
- Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)
- Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP)
- In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
- Familiarity with social media recruiting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- CHRP certification is an advantage
- BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus
- Must have own vehicle with the ability to travel between both locations (Springwater and Bradford)

Work Conditions
- Good hearing required for extensive telephone use.
- Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Additional hours as required.
- In-office position, mainly Monday to Friday.
