Stewart Properties is a smaller, locally based real estate company that specializes in affordable housing as well as other types of rental housing. Working with community groups and non profits as well as individual rentals **we have a unique portfolio that requires a dynamic team player who is a self starter, motivated, extremely organized and has the confidence to be able to be firm with delinquent tenants**. We offer flexible hours within a 40 hour work week, casual dress, the option of benefits after three months and a small close knit team that makes it easy to collaborate or be supported individually.

Here is a list of a few responsibilities:

- Attract tenants by advertising vacancies; obtaining referrals from current tenants; explaining advantages of location and services; showing units
- Posting ads on various social media platforms (Kijiji, Facebook, etc)
- Creating a sense of urgency when talking to prospects
- Signing rental agreements with tenants by negotiating leases; collecting security deposits
- Collecting rent from current and historic residents
- Dealing with Office of Residential Tenancies issues, handling tenant disputes
- Inspect buildings and vacant suites
- Maintain property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints; enforcing rules of occupancy
- Organize and manage keys, inventory, etc
- Enforce occupancy policies and procedures by confronting violators
- Foster and maintain positive tenant relations through site visits, tenant meetings, correspondence, and by being accessible and providing timely and effective service and response to inquiries and requests.
- Handle/monitor complaints and concerns in a prompt, appropriate manner
- Utilize property software (Yardi Breeze) and ensuring it is kept up to date
- Let in contractors as required or sign keys out to contractors
- Advise management of unstable tenancies
- Other duties / projects as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
