**Thresholds Housing Support Services (HSS) is seeking a full-time Mental Health and Addictions Coordinator, who will support individuals to engage in activities of self-determination, self-care, meaningful community engagement, leisure, overall health and wellbeing. This clinician will plan, develop, coordinate, and provide core community based services to clients including: intensive case management, employment support, activities of daily living, as well as improving social and interpersonal relationships. The MHA Coordinator will also provide consultation around substance use issues to the HSS team.**
**HOURS OF WORK**:The Mental Health and Addictions Coordinator will work thirty-five (35) hours per week, with the hours being flexible to the needs of clients. MHAC will participate, on a rotating basis, in the agency’s on-call system.
**SALARY RANGE**:$29.79 to $35.26 (Grade 3)

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post-secondary degree in human services / human sciences or related field.Minimum three (3) years’ experience within the community the addictions and mental health field working with adults recovering from serious mental illness and/or addiction.
- Demonstrated ability of being a highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Experience in supporting individuals experiencing acute crisis.
- Sound knowledge of community resources and the ability to liaise with community agencies, generic services, addiction and mental health professionals, specialized health care, recreation and leisure organizations, and vocational programs
- Ability to advocate and liaise with housing providers, landlords, boarding homes, shelter operations and operators of other housing facilities.
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, electronic record keeping and data collection systems.
- Strong assessment skills with a demonstrated ability to assess complex situations and make appropriate decisions independently.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and suicide risk assessment preferred.
- Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, relevant insurance and use of a reliable vehicle.
- Able to successfully complete and provide a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
