Respite Security Specialist

What you will do:
To provide effective Security Services to the designated post in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. To maintain company policies and procedures, and an above average knowledge of the specifics of Residential and Commercial Security

**Responsibilities**:

- Enforcement of all Post Orders and Regulations of site
- Maintain order using tactical communication and emergency communications via Radio, computer, and phone use
- Operate mission essential security equipment and Security Control Room Operations
- Access control operations
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms and other alarms of various natures, detection, and prevention of vandalism, loitering and other illicit activities
- Effectively write reports documenting shift occurrences

Who you are:

- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hospitality and customer service experience preferred.
- **No experience required for Police Foundation Graduates**.
- **Must have experience in security/law enforcement, security systems and their functions.**:

- **Two (2) years experience required.**:

- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to work in high stress environment.
- Ability to make quick and informed decisions.
- Must possess an Ontario Security Guard License.
- First Aid, CPR and AED certification is preferred
- Use of force certification is preferred
- Strong tactical awareness and de-escalation experience
- Law enforcement education is considered an asset competitive wages range**- Wage range: $18 hour**:

- Clean shave policy is followed at Respite Sites.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
