A.S.P. is looking for a Respite Center Security Specialist Supervisor, who can provide visible, advanced-level security service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner. Working with integrity and respect, the Respite Security Protection Specialist takes responsibility for secure and safe at the Respite Centers in Toronto.

**What you will do**:

- Managing and leading a team of Security Specialists
- Maintaining an open line of communication with the client and ASP
- Providing Security Guard Services at Respite Shelters, through operating Security Systems, monitoring and patrolling.
- Observing, investigating, and acting on possible breaches of security, fire and safety hazards, illegal entry, theft and malfunction or interruption of utilities and informing designated authorities in event of emergency
- Acting as an ambassador of the client site by providing customer service, responding to public inquiries, and performing guard tours along designated routes. Assist in the movement of visitors and staff.
- Screening unauthorized person and physically removing person found trespassing or engaging in criminal acts or breaching the policies. Legally arrest individual and surrender same to Police as soon as possible.
- Recording and maintaining logbook of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences and issuance of equipment to staff.
- Performing duties such as open-up and lock-down procedures, bomb threat searches and security/life safety equipment inspections and testing
- Performing emergency response duties in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual.

**Who you are**:

- **Minimum of two (2) years of security related experience IS A MUST**
- **Minimum of two (2) years of security supervisory related experience IS A MUST**
- **1-2 years of customer service experience (retail, call centre, banking) IS A MUST**
- Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Must have extensive knowledge of the Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, 5 Steps to a proper Arrest and WHMIS.
- Must Possess a valid Security license
- Must have experience in modern corporate building security/law enforcement, security systems and their functions, tactical security.
- Proficient with various security hardware, software, keying & systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Able to work in nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
