Seeking to build a team of culinary individuals looking to advance their culinary career at the esteemed D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club just 20 minutes south of Calgary.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Follow the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef's instructions for menu plating, daily mise en place and recipes for banquets, halfway house and a la carte dining.
- Maintaining highest level of standards to ensure quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction to align with the vision and reputation of the Club
- Operate food preparation and cooking equipment including, but not limited to combi-ovens, ranges, grills, deep-fryers, salamanders, slicers, mixers, and food processors.
- Set-up and tear-down of workstations for service.
- Wash and disinfect food preparation areas including tables, equipment, tools, and knives.
- Adhere to all company, safety and security policies and procedures including OH&S and WHMIS; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Must complete safety training and certifications during new-hire orientation.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; no excessive jewelry or make-up permitted.
- Must be able to speak, write and read English proficiently.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Stand, squat, or walk for an extended periods of time or for an entire work shift; must be able to ascend/descend stairs from main kitchen to banquet room on occasion.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
**Experience Required**:
- 2 Line Cooks: 3 yrs min.
- 1 Breakfast Cook: 3 yrs min.
**Additional Requirements**
- Personal, reliable means of transportation.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Flexible scheduling to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada. No LMIA based Work Permits offered.
- A positive and professional attitude demonstrating a willingness to learn innovative ideas.
- Must be able to work independently or in a collaborative environment.
