**Shipping and Receiving Manager**

The Shipping and Receiving Manager will direct and coordinate the day-to-day activities of receiving, storage, distribution, systems administration as well as inventory control. This role will report directly to the COO and is responsible for overseeing warehousing activities for the implementation of key activities to drive production as well as warehouse efficiencies. This role will focus on coaching and engagement to drive improved safety performance and enhance warehouse level accountability. This role will understand the importance of tracking KPIs to support the Freshouse Foods culture of continuous improvement

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage a team of employees, including coaching, delegation, performance evaluation, and training
- Implements and administers all policies and procedures
- Maintain performance metrics and report on a regular basis to senior management
- Ensure warehouse efficiency by managing productivity, shipments, and quality of shipped goods
- Responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all products and materials that are received
- Responsible for delivering on key KPI’s around inventory accuracy and cycle counts raw materials, packaging and finished goods
- Working closely with manufacturing operations to ensure efficient flow of raw materials, packaging, finished goods and optimize space
- Arrange for the purchase of equipment like trailers, forklifts and walkies as required
- Must be flexible with work schedule to be a visible leader and maximize employee interactions for 24-hour warehouse operation.
- Manage site waste removal in compliance with environmental policy with a continued focus in achieving zero waste to land fill
- Manage and track obsolete and slow-moving inventory in partnership with advanced planning team

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of three (3) years working knowledge of logistics, shipping or distribution management experience required
- Experience with leading a team of employees in a meat production/processing environment is an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team as well as with external partners
- Experience working with continuous process improvement
- Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP experience is considered an asset
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Valid Forklift Licence
