Balcan est actuellement à la recherche d’un analyste financier pour mettre en œuvre et gérer des systèmes et des processus de rapports financiers, d’établissement des coûts et de contrôle interne tout en dirigeant, de manière pratique, une équipe financière centrée sur le soutien.

Relevant du contrôleur de division, l’analyste financier jouera un rôle de leadership clé tout en favorisant une approche collaborative dans les diverses fonctions opérationnelles et sera responsable de l’ensemble du cycle comptable. L’analyste financier assurera également la liaison avec l’équipe de l’entreprise pour la production de rapports sur le rendement financier.

**Principales responsabilités**
- Jouer un rôle clé en tant qu’agent de changement; évaluer les opérations comptables actuelles, formuler des recommandations d’amélioration et mettre en œuvre de nouveaux processus harmonisés avec les pratiques exemplaires de l’industrie.
- Effectuer des tâches de fin de mois et toutes les activités de reporting connexes pour l’unité commerciale principale et d’autres sociétés de portefeuille.
- Préparer et analyser les états financiers.
- Réconcilier et analyser les comptes GL.
- Élaborer et tenir à jour des rapports financiers et opérationnels afin de fournir des renseignements opportuns et exacts aux intervenants internes et externes (c.à-d. le conseil d’administration et les prêteurs)
- Fournir à la direction des informations vitales pour le processus décisionnel en élaborant et en surveillant les mesures de performance de l’entreprise.
- Optimiser les processus de fin de mois pour être plus proactif dans la prise de décision.
- Développer et optimiser les systèmes d’inventaire et la comptabilisation.
- Élaborer une matrice de contrôle pour s’assurer que tous les risques sont couverts par des contrôles adéquats.
- Participer à la mise en œuvre d’un système ERP.
- Préparer toute la documentation pour les audits externes.

**Education & Experience**
- 5 ans d'expérience ou plus à un poste similaire dans un grand environnement industriel
- Titre de CPA souhaitable
- Solides compétences techniques en ASPE et US GAAP
- Parfaitement bilingue français-anglais
- Maîtrise de l'utilisation des systèmes ERP pour la comptabilité et les finances (une expérience approfondie de l'ERP est un atout)
- Maîtrise de Microsoft Excel et Word
- Connaissance des meilleures pratiques en matière de comptabilité et de contrôles internes
- Compréhension de la finance, de la budgétisation, de la comptabilité et des opérations afin d'accroître la crédibilité à tous les niveaux de la direction.
- Compréhension de l'analyse financière pour contribuer à la croissance de l'entreprise
- Disposition amicale, serviable et orientée vers le service
- Souci du détail, précision et sens de l'organisation
- Capacité à établir des priorités et à résoudre des problèmes

Balcan is currently looking for a Financial Analyst to implement and manage systems and processes for financial reporting, costing and internal control while leading, in a hands-on fashion, a support-centric finance team.

Reporting to the Division Controller, the Financial Analyst will play a key leadership role while promoting a collaborative approach throughout the various business functions and will hold responsibility for the complete accounting cycle. The Financial Analyst will also ensure liaison to the corporate team for reporting on financial performance.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Play a key role as a change agent; assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes aligned with industry best practices.
- Perform month end tasks and all related reporting activities for the main business unit and other holdings companies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Reconcile and analyze GL accounts.
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reports to provide timely and accurate information for internal and external stakeholders (i.e. board of Directors and lenders)
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process by developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
- Optimize the reporting processes to be more proactive in decision making.
- Develop and optimize inventory systems and bookkeeping.
- Develop a control matrix to ensure that all risks are covered with adequate controls.
- Participate in the implementation of an ERP system.
- Prepare all documentation for external audits.

- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position in a large manufacturing environment
- CPA designation desirable
- Strong technical skills in ASPE and US GAAP
- Fully bilingual French English
