THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our expanding commercial construction team. This role is located in Vancouver and reports to the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will perform a wide variety of duties including but not limited to:
Assisting the Project Manager in the quick cycle of tenant improvement and commercial construction handling multiple projects with a range of scale and complexity.
Providing general support to both the Project Manager and construction staff as needed, for the purposes of advancing the company’s projects and delivering to the company’s standards of professionalism.
Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in quality assurance meetings and thinking critically about tasks and procedures with the objective of finding better and more efficient ways of performing duties.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Experience and Education**
Minimum 1 year of experience in construction project coordination
BCIT Building Technology Program (or an equivalent credential)
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
High energy with a positive attitude
Well-developed written and oral communications skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates solid judgement regarding sensitive information
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and Projects)
Familiarity with Autocad and MS Project is an asset but not a requirement.
Experience using an ERP system i.e. Spectrum is an asset
Experience using Procore or other cloud-based construction management software
