Warehouse Worker

Position**:Warehouse Worker - Full Time/Part time**

**Summary of Primary tasks**:

- The **Warehouse Worker - **reports to the Operations Manager
- Picking orders for packing
- Packing orders for shipping
- An opportunity for some shipping/receiving which could include the following tasks:
Receiving - verifying incoming shipments

Inventory control and quality assurance

Shipping - verifying counts and loading outgoing product on company fleet
- Adhere to all company guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Carry out any additional tasks as requested by the Operations Manager

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Prior experience working in a floral distribution business is an asset
- Training will be provided

**Working Conditions**
- High energy, fast paced warehouse environment with various temperature zones in the warehouse
- Cooler: 3-4˚C, Warehouse/Packing room: 10˚C to 18˚C
- Willing and able to work in all temperature conditions depending on production demand
- Standing/walking most of the shift
- Lifting boxes up to 50lbs (average 20-35 lbs)
- Moving floral carts (both empty and full)

**Hours**
- Full time or Part time hours as scheduled
- Weekend availability required
- Some extended hours will be required around Floral Holidays
- Must have own transportation

**Compensation**
- Hourly wage - competitive - is based on experience

**Job Type**
- Full Time position with benefits available to full time employees after successful completion

of a three-month probationary period.
