**About the Job**:
As the Long-term Care Attendant (LTCA) you will work as an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, who provide care and support in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of RN’s and LPN’s, LTCA’s have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are supported, while promoting maximum independence.
Typical duties include:
- Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
- Assisting with mobility, transfers and related equipment
- Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration
- Housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition
- Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities
- Performing clerical duties and delegated tasks
This is a RELIEF PART-TIME (0.89 FTE) OPPORTUNITY until the return of the incumbent.
Shifts of work will be scheduled days, evenings and nights, rotating from 15:00 to 23:10, 23:00 to 07:00

Ridgewood Lodge is a long-term care home offering 24-hour nursing care using the neighbourhood model. Currently we have 37 residents and work hard to promote wellness, implement creative approaches to care and service, deal honourably with our employees, and serve as a contributing member of our community.
