Position summary:
Sustainable Procurement is a key component of Cogeco’s ESG strategy. Your role will be to organize, coordinate and work with our team on the integration of social, ethical and environmental performance factors of the supplier selection process. Concurrently, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the results of sustainable procurement as they relate to all Cogeco business units.
Reporting to the Director, Strategic and Sustainable Procurement and working in close collaboration across all Cogeco business units, and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department.You will be involved with the following aspects: supplier diversity, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from our suppliers, and local sourcing as well as the recognition of our code of conduct.
Key responsibilities:
Sustainable procurement for all Cogeco activities- Propose and contribute to the definition of the direction within the major principles of sustainable procurement, as they relate to Cogeco’s sustainable development strategy.- Develop and implement the roadmap and annual plan of action in collaboration with the company’s social responsibility team.- Roll out and manage our supplier diversity program.- Facilitate meetings raising awareness of sustainable procurement.- Ensure communication, both internally and with suppliers, on our projects’ progress.- Ensure the ongoing strategic monitoring of best practices in the communication industry, in order to seize opportunities for improving sustainable procurement.- Serve as a point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders on the monitoring of sustainable procurement initiatives.- Prepare and disseminate achievement reports.
**Education**:
- Bachelor of Business Administration.- Certificate or post-graduate diploma (DESS) in management or sustainable development an asset.
Work experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in functions related to the procurement sector.- Practical sustainable procurement experience (supplier diversity, local sourcing, code of conduct, etc.).

- Very good project and change management skills.-
- Known for the ability to influence.-
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both French and English.-
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point or Google Suite.-
