Automotive Service Advisor

**Kanata Ford **is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our reputable car dealership. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers who require vehicle maintenance or repair services. Your role will involve effectively communicating with customers, accurately documenting their concerns, and coordinating the necessary repairs with our skilled service technicians.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
2. Actively listen to customers' concerns and accurately document their vehicle's issues and service requirements.
3. Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs or maintenance, including estimated costs and timelines.
4. Consult with service technicians to assess the scope of work required and ensure clear communication between the customer and the service department.
5. Schedule service appointments, considering the availability of technicians and parts, and communicate appointment details to customers.
6. Coordinate and prioritize service repairs based on customer needs, vehicle status, and available resources.
7. Follow up with customers during the service process, providing updates on repairs, additional work required, or delays, while maintaining a high level of transparency.
8. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
9. Collaborate with the parts department to ensure the availability of required parts and accessories for timely service completion.
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, including customer information, service details, and invoices.
11. Stay updated on automotive industry trends, service techniques, and manufacturer recalls or service bulletins.
12. Uphold dealership policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
**Qualifications**:
1. Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
2. Solid knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repairs.
3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle customer complaints and difficult situations calmly and professionally.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting customer concerns, repair orders, and invoices.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with service technicians and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
9. Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
10. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in automotive service or customer relations is a plus.
- 11. A Knowledge of the Ford Product Line, Warranties and Reynolds and Reynolds is indeed an asset_
Competitive Compensation Plan Earn $60,000 - $100,000 plus annually.
**Salary**: $34,683.45-$100,000.00 per year
