Bar Supervisor

**PRINCIPAL FUNCTION**:
Play a key support role within the beverage/cocktail department, assisting to ensure product availability, quality, cost effectiveness, compliance, control, and service for all beverages served throughout the venue.

Assist with daily operations of the beverage department by supervising employee activities, as assigned within bars, lounges, stands and other outlets where beverages are, served. The bar supervisor, will help to ensure that standards and policies for responsible alcoholic beverage service are enforced.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist Operations Manager in the execution of smooth and seamless operation of beverage locations and bars.
- Ensure standards of bar setups are, maintained throughout the event allowing for optimized speed of service and flow.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients and preparation.
- Ensuring that all details of service are performed by the bartenders to expected standards and that every guest receives the highest quality of service
- Ensure bartenders and service team’s knowledge of beverage and service levels are to standard.
- Contribute to shift briefings as required as well as assist in leading staff training sessions for all beverage products.
- Confirm delivery of all production requisitions for cocktail preparation and maintain bar beverage inventory control during events.
- Ensure proper pouring, mixing, blending of drinks in line with provincial law’s.
- Monitor bar opening and closing duties, are completed daily to standard by bartenders.

**QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS**:

- High school diploma
- Valid Serving it Right
- 2 years’ experience with menu and drink creation
- 2 years’ experience in high volume venues
- Demonstrates a high level of knowledge regarding various alcohol brands, spirits, liqueurs and how to utilize them in drink creation
- Familiarity with modern mixology techniques that enhance current beverage offerings and elevate guest experience
- 2 years at the supervisory level in an entertainment or convention centre or stadium venues.

- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to six (6) hours in length and have the ability to bend/lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to push and pull equipment such as merchandise racks, speed racks, flat beds, and service carts.
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guest and employees.
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
