This role is for a Carousel Line (1 & 2) where parts are dipped and coated in Plastisol. The day shift runs 5:30am-3pm monday to friday. NO STUDENTS.

The **Backup Lead Hand** helps manage the workflow and functions of a team. They assist the Leadhand with all aspects of the job, and cover for the Leadhand when they are off (at a higher rate when covering). They also work on the line with the team doing general labour duties.

**Manufacturing and Leadership experience is a MUST.**

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Assist the Leadhand (20% of the time), and do general labour duties alongside your team (80% of the time).
- Do all quality checks and ensure they are accurate
- Complete paperwork, data entry, etc, ensuring accuracy.
- Pack/load/offload parts, ensuring the tooling is full for efficiency
- Learn and know all aspects of the department/line and each job associated with it.
- Assist with training and development of your team.
- Meet all requirements for, and follow all process instructions.
- Work in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures.
- Proper housekeeping and problem solving.
- Inputting data into the system database.
- Work in a safe manner and ensure all your team does as well.
- Train new staff (temps included) in all areas of the department/line.
