**What you’ll do**
- Install carpet and flooring materials with precision, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, and finishing flooring.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations.
- Conduct restoration work as needed, including water damage restoration and buffing floors.
- Perform trim carpentry and fixture installation to complete the flooring project.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process.

**Basic qualifications**
- Proven experience in flooring installation, including carpet laying and tile laying.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and blueprint reading.
- Strong skills in carpentry, caulking, concrete finishing, and remodeling.
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience in the restoration industry is a plus.

**Preferred qualifications**
- Previous maintenance person experience or involvement in construction painting.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques to maintain quality installations.
- Experience with cabinet installation is an advantage.
