Montessori on the Mountain is a labour of love and we are looking for positive, passionate, respectful, professional, humble and kind people to be part of our team. We are located inside St. John United Church in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We currently offer YCC & Casa environments and hope to quickly expand.
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- MACTE accredited Montessori 0-3 or 3-6 training, AMI preferred
- Currently able to legally work in Canada
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills, including parent education, record keeping and informing parents
- Passionate about working with children, kind-hearted and nurturing
- Have experience working with children ages 0-3 or 3-6, along with deep respect for children and their development
- A positive attitude and a love of learning
- Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
- Valid Standard First Aid certificate from a WSIB recognized provider, negative TB test & immunization records
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provide an authentic Montessori experience while maintaining a beautiful classroom environment
- Deliver engaging educational experiences to the parent community that foster home and school partnership
- Participate in all Curriculum Evenings and Parent/Teacher Conferences
- Maintain record-keeping and planning systems
**Start Date**:
- August 26, 2024
**Compensation**:
- Salary will depend on experience and training
- Provincial Wage Enhancement
- On-going Professional Development
- Discount on tuition for children of Staff
- 4 weeks paid vacation, summers off
**Duration**:
- On-going contract
**Hours**:
- Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
