POSITION: Community Support Worker - Full Time Positions

WHAT YOU NEED **(QUALIFICATIONS)**:

- Maintain and utilize a current Standard First Aid and CPR level C
- Provide clear criminal record and child intervention checks.
- Post-secondary education in the human services, disabilities and rehabilitation fields is considered an asset.
- At least one year of experience working with persons with disabilities.
- Maintain a Class 5 driver’s License with a minimum of 1 million dollars Liability insurance.
- Show proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon hire.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING? **(JOB DUTIES)**:

- Use a wholistic approach to provide care, activities and intentional programming both in the home and the community that focus on enhanced quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure that individuals are engaged in community and recreational activities to the greatest extent possible.
- Administer medication and address individual health concerns ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Provide personal care including but not limited to bathing, toileting, catheter care, changing, grooming, feeding and dressing.
- Complete documentation and communicate effectively with the team.
- Assist with household tasks, light housekeeping and household maintenance.

Since 1985, Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency, URSA, has been a Calgary based non-profit agency that works to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in community settings. We continue to break down a multitude of barriers for these individuals and help them thrive in the community.

Given its continued growth, URSA is looking to add Community Rehabilitation Workers - Developmental Disabilities.

Wage will be dependent on educational background and experience.

Flexibility is required as positions include daytime and evening availability.
