Responsibilities**:
- Read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
- Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
- Operate and tend automated assembling equipment such as robotic and fixed automation equipment.
- Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations.
- Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools and other aids like overhead hoists.
- Mark, record and report defects.
- Test electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance using testing devices such as meters, analyzers, etc.
- Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices when working in confined spaces and/or hazardous environments.
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned
**ELECTRICIAN / **MACHINE WIREPERSON**
- Check & compare physical parts/numbers to Bill of Material to ensure correct parts are issued for installation
- Electrical license preferred
- Knows how to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics
- Knows how to layout and wire different components within and between electrical cabinets & machinery
- Can lift 40lbs
- Install electrical devices such as proximity sensors, photoeyes, pull cords, etc. on machinery
- Select, bend and install conduit (flexible, liquidtight, EMT, Rigid), clips, trays, etc., as required
- Wire components in cabinets or on machines according to schematics and the Canadian Electrical Code
- Report directly to the Electrical Production Supervisor
- Own basic tools (tester, screwdrivers, pliers, wire stripper, metal files, etc.) to be used for building electrical control panels
- Troubleshoot systems
- Maintain and repair building electrical systems as required
- Maintain a clean work environment
- To perform other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time
- Inform stock keeper when consumable components are getting low in supply
- Work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
