Our fleet of trucks are on the road delivering fuel to farm and commercial accounts in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.

**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of **Grocery Manager** to support one of our retail food stores in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This position reports to the Store Manager. The Grocery Manager adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership and direction to all aspects of centre store operations.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, merchandising, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
- Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies.
- Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- A minimum of three years of retail experience. Previous retail management experience is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a special skill of motivating employees to achieve strong results.
