Analyst, Risk Management and Insurance

Our Montreal location in Quebec, Canada is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Analyst, Risk Management and Insurance. This job is temporary, full-time.
- Resolute’s Risk Management & Insurance group has a Temporary (6-month) opening for an individual with strong organizational skills to perform a broad range of technical, analytical and administrative duties._
- Your challenge:_
- _Actively participate in the renewal process for the Primary lines of insurance (Property, Casualty, US Workers Compensation and Executive Risk) by gathering and analysing underwriting data; you will:_
- _Lead the collection and compilation of information for renewal submissions;_
- _Maintain policy renewal critical path by ensuring timely responses are obtained from business units and provided to Brokers and Underwriters;_
- _Identify, analyse and explain variances with expiring policies; _
- _Participate in renewal meetings with Brokers and Underwriters;_
- _Ensure program documentation is received in a timely fashion and is in accordance with submission (policies & endorsements); _
- _Manage the timely issuance of insurance certificates: issuance, tracking and renewal;_
- _Coordinate loss prevention / control activities with external service provider and monitor compliance with loss prevention recommendations;_
- _Participate in the claims coordination process, ensure timely progression and handling of claims and provide updates to support management reporting;_
- _Monitor and liaise with the insurance broker and insurers;_
- _Respond to day to day inquires from Operations, Legal and Procurement Depts. and provide assistance to address various risk related concerns;_
- _Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statement reserves _
- Your team:_
- Reporting to the _Manager, Risk Management, you will be part of a results-oriented team dedicated to protecting and preserving the Company’s property, assets and people. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to continue to grow professionally and your contribution will be key in _achieving_ _the team’s objectives by managing_ _information that is critical for_ _the proper administration_ _of the Company’s insurance_ _programs._
- Your profile:_
- _Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field_, preferably with additional studies in insurance;_
- _Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specifically with commercial lines of insurance._
- Your skills:_
- _Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in both official languages;_
- _Communicative and comfortable with frequent internal and external interactions; _
- _Detail oriented and possess excellent organization skills with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously_;_
- _Ability to identify and analyze problems, take initiative and decisive actions when needed_;_
- _Above-average knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and Access._
