We’re passionate about our products and equally as passionate about the success and safety of our people. **THE OPPORTUNITY** - Perform quality inspections on raw or finished products at set frequency to ensure products are within specifications. - Review results of specified testing, checks, swabbing, formulations, calibrations completed for compliance with established procedures. - Inspect work in process to ensure quality specifications, SOP’s and SSOP’s are being followed in accordance with requirements. - Complete required testing, checks, swabbing, formulations, and calibrations required. - Monitor corrective actions for compliance and effectiveness and initiate follow-up for completion. - Assist Quality Manager in the identification, development, and implementation of changes to specifications and the Quality Management System - Liaise with Production Department personnel to provide guidance and input regarding product specifications and quality issues. - Prepare data and participate in customer and government audits as well as internal audits. - Audit the results and perform required daily HACCP checks to ensure safety of product and /or process (i.e. metal detection checks, oxygen checks). - Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices. - Perform SQF Positive Releases and CVS tasks. - Perform investigations into customer complaints and foreign material findings. - Organize shelf-life studies for new products, re-formulated products, IPD tests, customer requests and for new packaging. - Prepare, train, and implement Company policies and procedures. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned. **Qualifications for this position include**: - Microbiology/Food Science diploma or equivalent - SQF Practitioner Certification preferred. - Minimum of two years prior Quality Assurance experience in a food processing facility. - Knowledge of HACCP principles. - Proficient Computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) - Good communication, interpersonal, and impact skills. - Able to work under mínimal supervision, as well as with a team. - Able to set priorities and work to meet pre-determined objectives. - Able to work an afternoon shift. **_ We would like to thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected for an interview will be contacted._** - Piller's Fine Foods is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, colour, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or any other protected factor.
