- DESCRIPTION
- JOB DUTIES
Develop and write copy for print and advertising material, websites, newsletters, brochures and other print pieces, and other communications/advertising materials produced for VenueVision.
- Follow directions, branding guidelines, and use keywords required for the SEO Strategy to write copy for our websites.
- Assesses topic and audience for preparation of presentations, blog posts, and website content.
- Research and verify information for topics and issues, using credible sources such as other corporations, personal interviews, Statistics, industry associations and others.
- Write in a clear, concise style suitable for marketing materials or public information materials.
- Edit and rewrite copy in accordance with changes requested based on SEO Strategy, corporate style and standards and space limitations.
- Create engaging, on-brand written content for our website and a variety of social media platforms, including, but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook
- Designing or adapting graphics from brand asset libraries for use in content.
- Sourcing visual assets, graphic elements, tools and techniques.
- Share customer success stories through the development of press releases, case studies, video testimonials, and blogs
- Plan and storyboard company videos
- Develop infographics
- Annually review and update library of brochures and sales presentations
- Support other Marketing projects as required
- REQUIRED SKILLS
Diploma in English, Communications, Journalism, Professional Writing or equivalent education.
- Two years directly relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to generate original concepts and ideas, given strategic direction.
- Portfolio which demonstrates talent and ability in a wide range of written materials which include: print ads, brochures, radio ads, newsletters, and websites; and
- Write for different audiences and meet different objectives (e.g. formal corporate writing in annual report vs. short, motivating copy in promotional ad).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly under frequent pressure against tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction from several individuals, and adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate level of computer literacy including Microsoft Word. Possesses fast and accurate keyboard skills.
- Experience in all major social platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest and Twitter is an asset.
- Graphic design skills in both Adobe Premiere and Photoshop is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
- An understanding of SEO best practices considered an asset.
- Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to write copy and follow instructions and use keywords required for the SEO Strategy
- The capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience working with Adobe suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is preferred
