The **Assistant General Manager, Front of House** is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Street Kitchen and aiding the General Manager with the overall success of the restaurant operations. They are responsible to delegate and direct the work of Servers and Supervisors while on shift, ensuring a positive customer experience. Our Assistant General Managers contribute to creating a safe and inclusive workspace for all Parallel 49 Brewing Company team members and guests.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee operations of the Street Kitchen, under the guidance of the General Manager, including sales monitoring, labor management, and maintaining a clean and organized environment- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction-
- Lead and direct work for Servers and Supervisors during shifts-
- Assist with Server and Supervisor duties including serving guests, running food and beverages, clearing tables, washing glassware, stocking and cleaning-
- Uphold all standards set by the General ManagerComplete the daily floor plan and communications, noting any keg rentals/events-
- Use Google Chat for important communication throughout the day-
- Delegate tasks and ensure AM/PM/hourly checklists are completed-
- Schedule and facilitate staff breaks-
- Handle any issues and call appropriate services for repairs with approval from the Management team-
- Place keg orders for the Street Kitchen-
- Monitor labor/sales and send staff home early when appropriate-
- Prepare cash deposits-
- Update menus and create new items on point of sale and delivery service apps-
- Ensure third-party delivery apps remain available during business hours-
- Assist with setting up and tearing down events within the restaurant-
- Assist in training of new Front of House employees-
- Build beer knowledge of all Parallel 49 Brewing Company beers on tap and guide guests in beer selection-
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, as well as local alcohol laws and regulations-
- Resolve customer complaints and conflicts professionally and promptly-
- Identify and address Front of House performance concerns and inform General Manager-
- Escalate Front of House performance concerns outside of Assistant General Manager's scope of work to the General Manager and assist in monitoring performance improvement-
- Identify and share any workplace inefficiencies, concerns or suggestions with the General Manager-
- Contribute to a positive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among staff-
- Administer and track staff discount program, reporting any misuse-
- Assist Supervisors in changing 50L kegs and organizing keg fridge-
- Ensure cleanliness of all areas of the Street Kitchen and assign staff duties from the daily and weekly cleaning checklist-
- Monitor sales/occupancy and cut Servers if requiredLock all Street Kitchen doors and arm the alarm system as per standard operating procedures when closing-
- Perform opening and closing duties as required and specified in SOPs- Fulfill other reasonable duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry is required- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required for external applicants-
- Must be of legal drinking age and have a valid serving it right certificate-
- Experience using a point of sale systemExperience training new staff-
- Strong leadership, time management and organizational skills-
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills-
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment-
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, move/walk consistently throughout your shift and lift up to 50 pounds-
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

**Preferred Skills**
- Knowledge of business operations including profits and loss methodology- Knowledge of craft beer styles, brewing processes, and industry trends-
- Cicerone certification-
- Experience creating employee communications and SOPs- Experience assisting in
