**Description**:Reporting directly to the Edmonton Packaging Supervisor. As a valuable member of our production team, your role will be to ensure our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assisting with set up and changeover of packaging
- Following a schedule and ensuring products are packaged within allotted time
- Retrieving raw materials
- Assembling, packing, and labeling pails, carboys, drums, totes and loading onto a pallet; transferring full pallet to warehouse storage
- Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Operate machinery correctly and maintain it with care
- Report any machinery issues to management
- Driving forklift
- Other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in a chemical environment is an asset
- Understand safe chemical handling and storage
- TDG and WHIMIS training is a strength
- Forklift experience preferred
- Abiding by company policies and procedures
- Ability to problem solve and work independently or with a team
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Own reliable form of transportation
**Working Conditions**:
- Hearing protection and steel toe shoes required
- Frequently standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting while transferring product
- Operating mobile equipment (forklift, floor scrubber etc )
