**OVERVIEW**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be reporting to the General Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential, commercial and infrastructure drainage system replacement and servicing projects as well as estimating and managing trenchless rehabilitation work including Cured-In-Place-Pipe liners and pipe bursting. This role includes front-end sales and estimating, managing crews, inspecting work and progress, and resolving and/or escalating issues as required to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

**Experience in trenchless repair and rehabilitation considered an asset.**

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Completion of Grade 12 education or higher.**

**Civil construction related courses or certifications considered an asset.**

**7+ years’ experience in progressive general construction** **roles.**

**5+ years’ experience supervising construction projects.**

**5+ years’ experience supervising, mentoring and managing staff.**

**Relevant experience in trenchless and drainage project delivery considered an asset.**

**Duties**:
Estimating project cost by predicting the cost of labor, supplies, and materials, getting estimates from subcontractors, and preparing detailed estimates for clients. Agrees on scope and schedule and consults colleagues as necessary for cost estimates.

Follows up on new leads and secures visits and phone calls with clients to estimate new work.

Educating clients on trenchless technology and recommending where appropriate.

Works closely with the Superintendent to organize and deliver drainage and trenchless jobs.

Defining the scope and resources required through site visits, compiling, and analyzing information required intended for materials and labor for drainage projects.

Working with clients throughout the project to ensure high quality and schedule are met.

Orientation, training and overseeing general management of your project staff.

Monitors performance of sub-contractors and staff.

Tracks and communicates work progress through software and excel.

Allocates and schedules resources, materials, sub-contractors and other staff.

Evaluates scope changes and implements Change Orders.

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing safety codes and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Keeps detailed records of construction site activities.

Ensures timely submission of administrative paperwork (including staff timesheets and credit card receipts).

Preparation, processing of administrative and financial documents, and maintenance of information for client records, accessing various computer programs are all key areas of responsibility for this position.

**SKILLS**:
Strong leadership and people management skills.

Good understanding of drainage and municipal underground infrastructure drawings.

Familiarity with cost-based estimating processes.

Advanced knowledge of perimeter drain construction and installation.

Medium knowledge of trenchless install methods and prosses.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Adept at team building and collaborates with co-workers.

Knowledge of municipal infrastructure requirements and code required.

Understands proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards (WorkSafe BC requirements) and attends daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.

Computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) preferred.

Basic mathematical skills.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:
The work is full-time Monday through Friday and is required to be available on short notice in the best interest of construction clients, including working outside of normal business hours.

Requirement to travel when appropriate and beneficial to job responsibilities.

Valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ license.
