Repair Planner

Our client is seeking a **Repair Planner (Autobody)** to join a dynamic team in various locations in Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- maintaining a proper balance between the profitability of the company, supporting the collision and restorative repair shop and the achievement of total customer satisfaction.
- handling communication with the adjuster and customer regarding status of the vehicle:
- being the main point of contact with the customer
- striving to represent the Company in a professional manner
- following the file from the time of appraisal until final presentation,
- owning the experience start to finish, engendering better communication and work flow.
**Job Duties**:
- Handle all appraisals, work authorizations, repair orders, supplements and warranties when dealing with the customer, striving to maintain and improve closing ratio for the company
- Follow up on customer appraisals, in order to increase closing ratio.
- As required, develop and implement follow-up program on appraisals.
- Ensure ongoing communication with adjuster, production staff and customer regarding repair status.
- Inspect repair and meet with customer when picking up vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work to resolve any customer concerns or dissatisfaction.
- Determine the priority of tasks within the scope of the position.
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company and departmental policies,
procedures and standards
- Cultivate a positive working relationship with team members and
management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in order to comply with all health &
safety procedures.
- Communicate and document repair status to customers and insurance companies.
- Other related tasks as required.
**Requirements**:
- High school or college automotive body repair diploma
- At least 1 year of direct experience in a similar rol
- A complete understanding of the day to day collision repair duties including estimating, production scheduling and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines
- Possess a valid drivers' license.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative in a busy environment.
- Highly organized, analytical and motivated; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
- Strongly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
**Working Conditions**
- Travel to off-site locations may be required.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Exposure to loud noises.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
**Salary**: From $23.55 per hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ajax, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- service advisor: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
