Job Details Description **Overview** The duties performed in this position revolve around handling of Menzies’ Canadian benefit administration. This includes duties communicating with staff to ensure necessary benefit-related tasks are completed, completing daily reviews, and coordinating with payroll, finance and human resources departments as needed. Other duties performed include handling and investigating benefit information and issues, preparing enrolments, performing database maintenance, and other miscellaneous benefit-related duties. **This position is Hybrid. You must be able to come into our Mississauga office once a week on Thursday 9-5pm.** **Main accountabilities include**: - Leads the coordination and administration of all Canadian Benefit Programs to include, Health & Welfare, Group RRSP and Total Rewards programs. - Explains employee benefits by conducting meetings; preparing written and graphic announcements and explanations - Oversees all communication related to benefits - timelines, RRSP contributions, etc. - Daily maintenance of employee benefit plans, including; tracking and maintaining employee enrollment activity - Periodically audit and ensure accuracy of benefit groups/enrollments/changes from HRIS and vendor systems and to resolve any discrepancies - Prepare monthly billing - Prepare weekly funding of RRSP contributions - Recommends employee benefit programs by examining, evaluating, and optimizing employee understanding, acceptance, and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage. - Recommends employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact. - Provides management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee benefit data and trends. - Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential. - Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. - Special projects as assigned. **Qualifications and Experience**: - Reporting Skills, Analysing Information. - Presentation Skills, Verbal Communication, Benefits Administration, Quality Management, Confidentiality, Developing Standards, Retaining Employees, Orienting Employees. - 3-5 years’ Benefits experience - UltiPro (UKG) - Thorough knowledge of benefits regulations in various provinces across Canada. - Proficiency in MS Office. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management. - Ability to work independently with a "can do" attitude combined with ability to multi-task and manage priorities. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality. - Strong work ethic with a demonstrated sense of urgency with speed within assigned timelines - Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments in the organization, particularly Finance and Human Resources. - Strong Customer Service skills.
