**Electrical Supervisor**
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK PERFORMED**:
Provide, plan and coordinate a comprehensive electrical service carried out by the KEI Electricians, as well as outside services to include repair, installation, PM and continuous improvement initiatives. Be the liaison to management regarding electrical service maintenance, plans and projects as well as relevant regulations and code changes. Ensure all electricians are working safely, wearing proper personal protective equipment provided. Identify staff development and training needs.
**RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK PERFORMED**:
- Coordinate and manage electrical staff
- Coordinate and manage electrical apprenticeship program, track apprenticeship hours, facilitate trade school arrangements for apprentices
- Process Electrical Work Orders, schedule work to be done and arrange material to complete same
- Maintain the electrical portion of the Work Order Database
- Must follow safe work practices, know and comply with all regulations, report an injury or illness immediately, report unsafe acts and/or conditions.
- Responsible for adhering to plant quality procedures in assigned job to meet customer requirements and customer specific requirements and ensure team members are trained and adhere to quality procedures.
- Comply with all management systems to which KEI subscribes (ex. Quality and Environmental systems).
- Follow and use Ontario Hydro Code, keep to date on changes to regulations.
- Responsible for coordinating the “Pre-Start Health&SafetyReview” process and obtaining all signatures.
- Assign, layout and design electrical service and projects, project management of electrical projects.(on time, to budget, outside resources).
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including; high voltage switchgear, substations, feeders, all electrical equipment for service and production process including rectifiers, PLC’s, controllers, circuits and act as a resource to department staff.
- Create manuals for Operations where applicable
- Maintain inventory of critical electrical spare parts, liaise with Purchasing Dept on ordering electrical spare parts and material for electrical projects, installations and maintenance
- Maintain a comprehensive electrical Preventative Maintenance program
- Maintain supporting documentation for any relevant Quality audits
- Participate in ISO mandated Total Preventative Maintenance program
- Liaise with Electrical Safety Authority and maintain the CSS Inspection program
- Liaise with vendors of electrical and associated equipment
- Create, modify and maintain electrical drawings of all electrical equipment
- Train production staff on the use of new equipment, attend any related training on equipment, codes and regulations
- Support and assist Co-Gen Power Plant Operator.
- Resposible for the sustainability of 6S within his/her area.
- Works effectively with all Plant personnel to promote KEI objectives and goals.
- Complete all required paperwork (time cards, job evaluations, work orders).
- Communicates all issues to direct manager, such as safety, staffing, budget.
- Responsibile for maintaining 6S as required.
- Follow through with instructions from and perform other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years trade experience, preferred.
Licensed 309A or 309D or 422A Electrician.
Certified for Golf Cart and Scissor Lift License or ability to obtain.
Knowledge of Co-generation systems, preferred.
