The Manager of Specialty Nursing Operations will report to the President or Director, of Specialty Pharmacy and will be responsible for supporting both, the Director, Vice President, President, and Specialty Logistics team with the implementation and launch of Clinic strategies and services integrated with the Pharmacy and logistics division. The Senior Manager of Specialty Nursing Operations will be responsible for the timely launch of Clinics and Pharmacy projects to all Pharmacy and Clinic staff and departments affiliated with Pharmacy and Clinics. They will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and updating clinic Specific Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance of the Specialty clinic and Pharmacy governance manuals.
This individual must be enthusiastic and motivated with exceptional communication and organizational skills. This person would be an essential connection and liaison between the Pharmacy team members and the senior Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy Management team. This position requires an individual capable of driving initiatives independently and as part of a team.
**_PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: _**
- Analyze and implement processes and standards within operational activities to optimize pharmacy services;
- Applies a focused depth of technical/clinical knowledge and/or broader-based operational and management expertise
- Assist in the implementation of new pharmaceutical product launches with respect to the clinic and pharmacy services across Canada.
- Coordinating and liaising with internal and external clients and consultants in the implementation of initiatives and services
- Demonstrating company values and positively contributing to the culture of the team
- Develop and drive business initiatives and operations for Clinics and Pharmacy;
- Develop/build relationships with health care providers and patients in order to drive additional services and business opportunities;
- Drive clinic business and revenues by maximizing clinic chair utilization and incorporating additional services;
- Effectively and accurately communicate project information and execute processes among the Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy to ensure high level of services to stakeholders;
- Establish and sustain KOL relations within the specialty industry;
- Hiring, and performance management of direct reports within the Pharmacy operations team
- Identify and implement appropriate clinical documentation and record keeping practices;
- Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of information flow and management of business processes by establishing SOPs, processes, training and recruiting staff;
- Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services (Scheduling, IT), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions;
- Leads day-to-day activities of a functional area or unit, coordinates the implementation of work group goals and objectives, and oversees day-to-day operations on projects;
- Liaise with the scheduling, clinics, patient support programs and pharmacy divisions central and remote.

- Participating and leading project implementations, including procedures, training, KPI monitoring, etc.
- Prescribe and administer medications (IV, IM and SC) in the patient’s home or specialty clinics setting(s)
- Promote evidence-based practice through the use of latest research-based guidelines with KOLs, Stakeholders, client and key partners;
- Provides comprehensive care as part of an interdisciplinary/inter professional team focused on creation of a patient-centric plan of care;
- Provides day-to-day pharmacy operations support as required;
- The Senior Nursing Operations Manager will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
- Up to 30% of time required for travelling within Canada;
- Work with external and internal clients to design, build and implement new services;
- Working with the President or Director of Specialty Pharmacy, Vice President, Pharmacy team and other internal staff members in the strategic development and launch of projects;
**_EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: _**
- 5-7 years’ experience in Project Management, clinic operations and some Pharmacy experience, or related activities.
- Experience with Clinics operations and patient support programs
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners
- Experience with writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, including pharmacy quality assurance practices
